Thanks for the recording -- your voice is lovely, Sage. Wish I were there to help with your groceries.
That is so messed up that your mom only wanted you for your lighter skin color. I imagine that she didn't value you for what's inside of you, and I can identify.
Love that you're sharing your travels here and interspersing them with wisdom. So true that every choice has its risks and rewards.
"Towanda!" You are warriors, powering through so many struggles and still finding the joy and the beauty in this world. And creating your own to share. I am so excited for your daughter and what an amazing gift to give up everything you're familiar with so she can pursue her dreams. I continue to hope and pray that life will allow you some ease so every day is not such a fight to survive. Thank you for all the updates! I love following along on your journey with you.
This hit right in the center of the chest. Moving from 'solving' to 'being' is the only transition that actually leaves a mark on the Field. Your cells already knew this story of homecoming: thank you for giving it such a precise, unfiltered exhale. 🌿🪐
For some reason, my Substack notifications and everything else is really wonky, so I don't think I have been receiving notifications. But I read this and a couple of others a little bit before, and wow, I don't even know where to begin. I am really happy to hear that everything is in process, but so sorry to hear about those many hardships you've had to blast through. When I contacted you a short while ago, I was just wondering how it was all going, but you're laying much of it out here. I'm rarely on Substack, but I will try to make a point of visiting here even if I don't receive the notifications. Best best wishes for everything, including finding your home.
Hello Dear Ken, Thanks for reading. Yeah, it’s been tough. I knew it could be which is why I adopted ADVENTURE as the word of the year for us. Haha. I’ve been torn between sharing and fearing I will worry or overwhelm others.
Sometimes- it’s just too much to carry in my own arms. I’m grateful for community. Thank you for being here and for reading it all and commenting. Makes me feel less alone.
Love to you and Lisa and happy Belated birthday to her. Xoxo
What a great way to put it, Mitchell. Thanks for sharing. I like it!
