Oh, how amazing it would be to study at the Sorbonne! I hope she gets to do that!

Have not made it to Scotland yet, but hope to in the near future. My children are all Irish citizens so a return to Ireland permanently is a hopeful possibility for us!! I definitely feel Paris isn't finished for me. I would love to return as soon as possible. If your daughter has never been to 59 Rivoli, I highly recommend it. What an inspiration! My son held his own with basic language (he has been learning Japanese for two years). The scams, well, he was quite frustrated and a bit intimidated, but as I was born and raised in Chicago, he got a quick education on how to handle them. 😉

Yes! We loved Ireland and plan to go back and possibly live. My ideal would be 3 months a year in California, 3 months a year in Italy, 3 months a year in France and 3 months a year in Ireland ( or traveling to new places). Currently downsizing my life to be as Mobil as possible for as long as my health allows.

I hear you. Curating our lives is so important. In process of that, myself. So, so many challenges. I'd love to keep in touch and maybe if we ever find ourselves in the same place, we can meet in person. 😊 All the best! 😊

I resonate very much with the awe and wonder in this post. It reminds me of seeing 'Little Dancer' by Degas in the Musée d'Orsay. I had wanted to see it since I was quite a little girl. Love hearing about your journey, though I'm very sorry about all the health challenges you are facing. 🙏 Wishing you all good things.

Thank you, dear Jenifer.

Yes, what an apt comparison! Our daughter LOVED Musėe d’Orsay— she’s spoken about wanting to return to it every day! She’s even considering studying at the Sorbonne.

Did you ever make it to Scotland? Any plans to go back to Paris? How was your son around the language differences and the scams?
