Love this poem Sage, it's beautiful. It also really resonated with me. Still having belonging while being different is a higher-level superpower I didn't know I needed. Thank you!
This reminds me of a quote I heard a long time ago. I don't remember who said it. It went something like this. "If they don't give you a seat at the table, bring a folding chair. Beautiful reminder of self-worth. Thank you Sage xo
A ping to my pounding heart. Obviously, like so many I experienced this so many times even times but one particular that altered me profoundly.
As a hairstylist, a career viewed “less than the accomplished”
I spent years trying to “elevate the industry” placing so much of my worth outside myself. I measured myself against every client, the good, the bad, the ugly”.
I take this journey now to others, hopefully to share my “Letters to her~ Diaries of a middle age hairstylist”. Learning how to do it justice.

Thank you, Danni. Love that quote! Yes!! No one on this world gets to tell us we don’t belong!
“Even when I sit at tables where I don’t fit in-
I still belong.”
